Why is Friday so far from Monday but Monday is so close to Friday? I’ve wondered this question all of my life. The weekend always seems to go by so fast and that dreaded day comes back around again. You guessed it…..MONDAY!!!! Sometimes I wish we could just have one more day to just sleep in and relax or another day to hang with friends and not have to do any work, but for most of America we have to get back out into the work field. For some of us we absolutely HATE our jobs. We hate the sound of the phones ringing. We hate the customers. We hate our boss. We hate the career choice. We don’t want to be there forever. We wish we could have a new job. Others don’t even have a job to go to. In both cases, we struggle financially. It can be really depressing. For some it feels like every day is Monday. You just don’t feel fulfilled. I deal with this often. I just want more out of life. I know that I have so many gifts to share with the world and the older I get I find myself beating myself up because I keep thinking it’s too late. This causes me to just let myself go. I don’t want to clean. I don’t put time into myself. Getting dressed is a task. I would just want to lay around and do nothing. Then I thought about it, me just laying there isn’t going to change anything. It just pushes me further from accomplishing my goals and dreams. A quote that speaks out to me is “Get Up, Dress Up, Show Up and Never Give Up.” I’ve written before about appreciating what you have so that one day you can enjoy what you don’t have and is working towards. You may hate your job right now but be grateful that you have one and Get Up, Dress Up, Show Up and Never Give Up. You may not have a job right now but a job is not going to fall in your lap, you have to Get Up, Dress Up, Show Up and Never Give Up. You may be depressed about your life and how things are going but start to Manifest Your Destiny and Get Up, Dress Up, Show Up and Never Give Up. You may need more financial stability, well, plan your hustle and Get Up, Dress Up, Show Up and Never Give Up. Sometimes how you look on the outside can alter how you feel on the inside. To get the part, you have to look the part. We were given one body, take care of it. We were given one chance at this life, go for it. It’s never too late to accomplish your dreams. It’s never too late to start that business. It’s never too late to lose those extra pounds. It’s never too late to go back to school. Whatever it may be and whenever you’re feeling like giving up on it, just remember to choose life and “Get Up, Dress Up, Show Up and Never Give Up”.
